Signposting of the “Cerro de Agrás Volcano” route of interest

Did you know that there is a volcano in Cofrentes?

This Site of Geological Interest called Volcanism in Cofrentes consists of three outcrops: Cerro de Agrás, Cerro del Fraile and Cerro del Castillo de Cofrentes.

Cerro de Agrás is the most characteristic of the three outcrops and represents the remains of a volcanic cone which has a basal diameter of 1,000 m and a rim to rim diameter of 600 m, and is about 80m high.

One of the compensatory measures agreed with the landscape organisation of the Autonomous Community of Valencia that has been established by our Wind Farm in Cofrentes is the signposting of the “Cerro de Agrás” route.
