Enerfin participates in the third General Assembly of the ELECTRON Project in Athens

The last week of September 2022, the third General Assembly of the ELECTRON project was held in Athens, Greece, in which Enerfín participated and observed the progress of this project.

Modern society is almost completely dependent on the state of information security and cyber infrastructure in all spheres of human life. Currently, access to information technologies, as well as information and communication networks, is available not only to state agencies, but also to criminal and terrorist organizations. In this sense, guaranteeing cybersecurity and preserving the information of the State's critical infrastructures has become a priority to provide the State with defense capacity.

The ELECTRON project (rEsilient and seLf-healed EleCTRical pOwer Nanogrid) is a European Union project on Cybersecurity and sustainability of energy sector facilities in normal, critical and emergency circumstances.

Enerfín collaborates as end-user in the definition of some of the cybersecurity solutions of the ELECTRON project, contributing its knowledge and experience as a renewable operator.

In the testing phase, Enerfín will test in the Use Case 3, part of the technologies and tools that are developed in the ELECTRON Project, which will be implemented in the Cofrentes Wind Farm, where the results will be analyzed and evaluated for their practical application. (Use case 3 focuses on the protection of renewable facilities to guarantee security and availability against cyber-attacks and information theft).

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement No. 101021936.
