Biodiversity in the Panabá-Sucilá Wind Farm Complex

Biodiversity in the Panabá-Sucilá Wind Farm Complex

The Yucatan Peninsula has a great diversity of ecosystems and species. This great biodiversity has been revealed by the pre-operational environmental monitoring and studies performed by Enerfín at the Panabá-Sucilá Wind Farm Complex site. The company is committed to conserving and caring for this biodiversity.

The following video shows some of the species of fauna present in the area of the project, which are of undeniable interest.

Caring for and being committed to the environment and society involve other aspects and therefore, as well as monitoring vegetation and fauna (mammals, birds, reptiles, bats and butterflies), Enerfín has carried out the archaeological prospection and the recovery of scores of Mayan cultural remains. Additionally, the company has completed a process of prior consultation, which has been free and informative, with the indigenous Mayan communities in the area of influence, who have given their consent to the project.
