Inauguration of Villanueva I and II wind farms, of 66.7 MW (Jarafuel, Valencia)
Villanueva I and II wind farms were inaugurated by Enerfin on November 2nd, with a total installed capacity of 66.7 MW. They are in operation since June 2009 and December 2008, respectively. The Comunidad Valenciana Infraestructures and Transport Conseller, Sir. Mario Flores, attended at the inauguration.
Both wind farms add up to 29 E70 wind turbines of 2.3 MW, the latest Enercon technology, with an investment of 102 million ¤. The two wind farms are included in the Enerfín Wind Plan in Comunidad Valenciana which sums up a 356 MW, which development will involve an investment of 600 million ¤.
Among the associated industrial compromises, the Plan foresees to create more than 340 direct employments and a direct investment of 43 million ¤. Nowadays Enerfín has largely overcome the industrial compromises associated to the Villanueva I and II wind farms, having invested 24.75 million ¤ and created 324 employments in Comunidad Valenciana.
The wind farms will generate green energy for 27,000 families, avoiding the emission of 54,540 tons of CO2.
